Innovative Education Program for Doctoral School
January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024
The project consortium consists of partners from six different RIS countries (Slovakia, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Estonia). InnovatED supports innovation capacity by collaborating and attracting talent from different countries to create greater value together.
InnovatED designs and delivers an annual program for the EIT Manufacturing (EITM) Doctoral School, which develops innovation skills among participants. The program integrates with the existing entrepreneurship course offered by EITM. In line with the core pillars of EIT Manufacturing, the program focuses on pivotal aspects of transforming European manufacturing. Participants work on creating socially sustainable production with an emphasis on human-machine collaboration. The curriculum also covers flexible manufacturing systems, preparing students to navigate the complexities of the VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) world. Digital collaboration solutions form a key component, encouraging students to innovate across the entire manufacturing ecosystem. Consortium partners collaborate to ensure the effective implementation of the program.
On-site activities take place at three schools—in Bratislava, Slovakia; Mondragon, Spain; and Porto, Portugal. These locations are strategically chosen to provide diverse perspectives and enable participants to engage in the local ecosystems of research, technology, startups, and more. Throughout the year, several short innovation-focused online courses complement the on-site activities. Industrial partners ISCLEANAIR and LEAD Innovation enhance practical learning.
Guidance from industrial partners ensures continuity between on-site events, enabling problem-based learning from summer schools to winter schools.
